Use our 'Find a Farmer' service

Need help finding a farm to visit?  Perhaps you'd like a farmer to visit your classroom? DairyNZ provides a Find a Farmer service to connect you with a local farmer.

The service is entirely free as our farmers volunteer their time, and better still we have transport funding available if your class needs a little financial support to get to the farm.

Leave us your details below and we'll be in touch soon.

Important Information:

  • We always try and match your visit to the closest available farm to your school, keeping travel time to a minimum. However, travel times of around 1 hour are usually necessary and will vary depending on your location and farmer availability.

  • Farm visits can only be held at certain times of the year. The range of experiences your class will encounter on farm depends on seasonal variations within the farming calendar.
  • Note: Farm visit availability for large groups is limited and these requests can experience longer waiting times.

To be eligible for transport funding your school will need to:

  • Use at least one of the Rosie's Education resources in your classroom.
  • Be prepared to contribute to our shared blog with a post (including photos) about your class trip. (Note: You can upload the post yourself or send us your piece and we can do it for you)
